Description

Queen has created an incredible White Ready to Roll Icing that is perfect for the use on all of your cakes and cookie creations. This super easy to use icing is perfect for beginners right through to professional bakers and is the perfect icing for covering cakes and cookies along with modelling work.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Simply knead the icing on a flat surface dusted with icing sugar/cornflour until smooth and pliable.
  2. Add some colour using a gel or oil colouring such as Americolor or Colour Mill. Kneading the icing in batches will make it easier on your wrists and less work if you do not require the entire pack.
  3. Roll out to approximately 5mm thick, ensure to lift and turn to prevent sticking. If covering a cake, smooth jam or buttercream and use a rolling pin to lift and drape the icing over the cake. If draping over marzipan lightly brush the marzipan with water first.
  4. Smooth into position using palms or a fondant smoother, working from the centre outwards and then down the sides of the cake. 
  5. Trim away any excess icing with a sharpe knife.

 

When covering cakes, allow 5mm - 8mm thickness as this is ideal for covering cakes. See table below for approximate amounts:

STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS:

Store in a cool, dry place. Once opened, wrap any unused icing in plastic to prevent it drying out. Do not refrigerate.
