RETAIL SALES TEAM MEMBER

About the role

Do you know your fondant from your buttercream? Can you pipe a beautiful swirl on a cupcake? Do you have a sprinkle addiction? Would you love to talk to customers about cakes and cookies all day whilst you get paid for it? Then we have the job for you!

 

We are seeking an energetic and motivated person to work within our retail store, completing sales and assisting customers with their cake decorating projects. As a small family owned business, excellent customer service is a must. It is what we pride ourselves on, and what keeps our customers coming back to us. 

 

Responsibilities of the position are as follows;

• Customer Service in store, on the phone, and online.
• Retail sales within the store
• Assist and / or lead cake decorating classes
• Preparation of goods for sale
• Data entry
• Admin support as required
• The role may also require you to assist our online department with shipping of orders

 

Skills and experience

The ideal candidate will require the following attributes;

  • Some knowledge of cake or cookie decorating, and a willingness to learn more about it
  • Ability to help customers choose the correct tools and consumables for their project
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience using POS (Point of Sale) & Eftpos platforms
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Availability to work regular weekday shifts, some Thursday evenings and Saturdays. (Weekday shifts are between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm)
