Acrylic Cake Shape Guide - Unicorn Head

We're prancing and dancing in a field of glitter bombs and rainbow magic with the Unicorn Head Cake Shape Guide. These cute lil' numbers are the perfect templates for your unicorn-themed cakes and cookies. You can use it to carve and cut your cakes laid down on a decorated cake board or stand it up, cutting the bottom flat so it can reign forth in spectacular fashion.

To use, wrap each board in glad wrap or cling film, cover it with a good, even layer of buttercream, place one on each end of your cakes, fill the sides with buttercream and smooth by following the guide with your scraper - it really is that easy! 

For the harder to glad wrap shapes, like the scallop, there are a few other ways to release your template from your buttercream or ganache:

1. Lightly heat your top acrylic guide for a few minutes (a few seconds for chocolate) until the top is very slightly melted, then slide the guide right off. 
2. Gently trace around your guide onto baking paper, and cut. Attach the baking paper to your guide with your ganache or buttercream and ice as normal. The baking paper should easily peel off your set frosting. 

We recommend chilling your cake before removing the guides otherwise your buttercream may come off with the board.

NOTE: The boards are shipped with the paper still on the acrylic to ensure that they are not damaged in transit. Remove the paper backing from the reflective side of the board prior to using.
